Gale Tan

Gale Tan started learning Yangqin at age 6. At age 7, she obtained her Grade 3 Certificate (Merit) for Yangqin and switched to learning Pipa under Mdm Liu Yan.  In 2011, she attained her Diploma in Pipa (Distinction).

 

Gale has garnered several awards in both local and overseas music competitions, achieving the top 3 prizes in all the NAC Chinese Music Competition from 2002 to 2012.   She was active in the schools’ Chinese Orchestras  in Kong Hwa School and later at Temasek Secondary School.

 

Besides her school orchestras, Gale was contemporaneously active in the People’s Association Youth Chinese Orchestra.  She has performed solo at many private and public functions including state functions hosted at the Istana. In 2012, she won the First Prize in the Pipa Solo (Open) at the National Chinese Music Competition. In 2013, Gale graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts with a Diploma in Music Teaching.

 

陈籽佳从六岁开始学习扬琴。考获扬琴三級证书后，开始向刘燕老师学习琵琶，并在2011年以特优的成绩通过了琵琶演奏文凭考试。籽佳也在国内外比赛中频频得奖，也屡次在2002年至2012年的全国华乐比赛中荣获前三名的优秀成绩，更在2012年的琵琶独奏公开组夺得冠军。她也活跃于学校华乐团。除此之外，籽佳也参加了人民协会青年华乐团。她拥有丰冨的演奏经验。她于2013年毕业于南洋艺术学院音乐（教学）课程。
