Denise Yeo began learning the pipa at the age of nine under the tutelage of renowned pipa virtuoso Liu Yan, at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Gifted Young Chinese Instrumentalists Programme. She obtained a Diploma in the Pipa Graded Examinations in 2009 jointly organised by the Central Conservatory of Music and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Denise won the Second Prize at the National Chinese Music Competition 2008 – Pipa Youth Category in 2008 and subsequently won the First Prize in the same competition in 2010. In 2011, she participated in the Chinese Instruments Masterclass for Foreign Students organised by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and won the Third Prize in the Grand Chinese Instrumental Competition for Foreign Students. Denise has performed both as a soloist as well as an accompanying artiste in numerous private and national events. She has also been an active member of the Toa Payoh West Community Centre Chinese Orchestra since 2006.
杨嘉琪从九岁开始便向知名琵琶大师刘燕学习琵琶，并加入南洋艺术学院属下少年儿童表演艺术学校的琵琶天才班。她在2009年参加南洋艺术学院与中央音乐学院联合主办的琵琶演奏文凭考试，考获优异的成绩。杨嘉琪分别在2008年和2010年的全国华乐比赛琵琶独奏青年组中分别获得第二名与第一名。她也在2011年参与上海音乐学院“外国留学生民乐大师班”，并赢得了外国留学生中国乐器大赛的三等奖。
杨嘉琪拥有丰富的演奏经验，其中包括为大小私人或全国性的独奏与客卿演出。热爱音乐的她亦是大巴窑西民众俱乐部华乐团的团员。
